Portfolio Monitor — Fair Use Policy
This Fair Use Policy explains the patent-portfolio monitoring capacity included with IdeaJudge Portfolio Monitor subscriptions.
It forms part of the IdeaJudge Terms of Service.
1. Standard Monitoring Allowance
Each active Monitored Client includes monitoring of up to 50 unique patent applications and/or granted patents selected for monitoring, under the standard $15 monthly client-monitoring fee.
The allowance applies separately to each Monitored Client.
Unused monitoring capacity cannot be transferred between clients.
2. Counting Monitored Patent Applications and Patents
For purposes of the allowance, each monitored item is a single patent application or a single granted patent selected for monitoring.
The same invention may be represented by multiple patent applications or granted patents in different jurisdictions.
Each selected patent application or granted patent counts separately toward the allowance.
Monitoring capacity is based on the patent applications and granted patents selected for active monitoring, not necessarily the client’s entire patent portfolio.
3. Larger Portfolios
Where more than 50 unique patent applications and/or granted patents are required for a client, additional monitoring capacity may be requested.
IdeaJudge will disclose the applicable capacity and price before additional monitoring is activated.
No additional charges will be applied without authorization.
4. Changes to Monitored Portfolios
Subscribers may add or remove selected patent applications and/or granted patents through supported account functionality or by contacting IdeaJudge.
Monitoring remains subject to the agreed allowance.
5. Excessive or Abnormal Usage
IdeaJudge may review usage that materially exceeds the agreed monitoring scope or creates an unreasonable burden on its systems.
Where practicable, IdeaJudge will notify the Subscriber and offer an opportunity to adjust the monitoring scope or agree on additional capacity before restricting affected monitoring.
6. Changes to This Policy
IdeaJudge may update this Policy to reflect changes in technology, monitoring methods or service capacity.
Material changes affecting existing subscriptions will be handled under the notice provisions of the Terms of Service.
Changes will not automatically create additional charges without the Customer’s authorization.
